In 2023 Rev. Joseph Santos in his leadership capacity in DRUMM solicited and received a grant from The UU Funding Program that was matched by a New York UU congregation in support of an initiative called The UU Related Ministries Network.

The goal is to strengthen and support the operational capacities of UU-affiliated ministries, particularly those with limited resources. These ministries play an essential role in our faith community, serving over 25,000 UUs annually and significantly contributing to leadership development. However, many struggle with administrative challenges, especially those operating on budgets below $500,000 with only part-time staff.

• The network aims to create a collaborative platform where ministries can share resources, streamline administrative systems, and collectively build capacity. 

• Through monthly network meetings, development of annotated resource guides, and the creation of an Organizational Development Continuum, the network will help these ministries enhance their operational effectiveness and mission impact.
